Rhapsody in Blue Collection draws its inspiration from George Gershwin’s 1924 masterwork — a composition that dissolved the boundary between classical music and jazz, and in doing so, created something entirely its own.

Gershwin’s instinct was to honor tradition by reimagining it. Atelier Quince follows that same line of thinking. Through the Rhapsody in Blue Collection, the centuries-old craft of lacquerware is reinterpreted with a contemporary sensibility — resulting in pieces that carry the weight of tradition and the ease of modern living in equal measure.
